HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police responded to an accident involving two vehicles in Ottawa County early this morning.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Riley Street and 136th Avenue, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

We’re told a silver Dodge Dart struck a silver Ford Focus when the latter drove through a flashing red light while traveling northbound.

Police say the Dodge Dart had the right of way.

Two passengers in the Ford Focus suffered minor injuries and were taken to Holland Community Hospital to be treated, authorities say, adding that the driver of that vehicle was given a citation for the incident.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the collision.
