HOLLAND, Mich. — The Ottawa County Health Department is offering free rapid HIV testing Thursday ahead of National HIV Testing Day June 27.
It's being held in a tent adjacent to Building C from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the health department, 12251 James Street in Holland.
"Many people with HIV are unaware they have it," said Deborah Price, sexual health team supervisor. “The only way to know your HIV status is to get tested. Knowing your status gives you powerful information to keep you and your partner healthy.”
Those who are interested should expect to wait about 20 minutes for results and to discuss follow-up options if needed.
There is no appointment needed.
