ZEELAND, Mich. — A Zeeland hospital got a big donation that will help them step up their game for virtual visits.

On Friday morning, Zeeland Community Hospital got a big donation from Zeeland Public Schools.

In a partnership with the group Tech Defenders, they donated hundreds of iPads and masks.

They are loaning the gear to ensure the hospital can continue to provide virtual care.

The president of Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital, Ron Lewis, had this to say, "when you're in the hospital alone and you're, you don't have your normal family around you like we normally do in a hospital, amid these situations with our restrictions, family members have to call, and to be able to have a video through FaceTime on through those iPads, is amazing, very helpful for patients and families."
