ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Parts of the Grand River are expected to crest late Thursday and into Friday in Ottawa County.

The river is expected to crest in Robinson Township at 16 feet.

Along the river in Spring Lake Wednesday, condos continue to be surrounded by standing water.

The county has declared a local state of emergency due to the flooding impact.

Ottawa County Emergency Management says there are reports of flooding damage at more than 280 structures. Crews will be assessing flooding damage after the river crests on Saturday.

Officials are encouraging residents to take precautions now and to never drive through standing water.
