Fire damages lumber company, no injuries reported

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A fire damaged a Holland lumber company's building, thankfully no one was hurt.

James Street was closed for over 2 hours while Holland Township and Park Township Fire Departments put out the flames just after 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Deleeuw Lumber Company building used for wood finishing was empty when the fire happened. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office tells FOX 17 the cement block building took the brunt of the damage. The cause of the fire is not known, but officials say there is no immediate evidence of arson.
