MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Two people who knew one another opened fire Monday afternoon, leaving one dead.
Police officers responded to the area of Peck Street and East Summit Avenue in Muskegon Heights less than 30 seconds after the shooting was reported.
According to Chief Joseph Thomas, both the victim and the suspect were likely armed, and shot at each other. The suspect may have been injured in the shooting.
So far no arrests have been made in the case, but investigators say information from citizens in the area provided good leads.
