BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man was shot Thursday evening shortly after 9 p.m. during a struggle with two men who came at him from bushes.
The 35-year-old man talked to Benton Township Police after he showed up at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph. He told them he was walking along Highland Avenue near Cornelia Street when two men came from behind a bush and showed they had a gun. The three men struggled, and the gun went off.
The assailants took an undisclosed amount of money.
