VICKSBURG, Mich. — Lyndsey Pulliam said she was leaving work and driving on W Avenue Wednesday afternoon when a tree suddenly snapped and hit her vehicle.
“I don’t know what hit me at first but all my mirrors broke,” Pulliam said during an interview with FOX 17. “So I couldn’t see behind me. Couldn’t see anything. It was just scary.”
Pulliam said it was raining and 'really really windy' when it happened. After she was hit, she pulled over and called her husband, who then moved it to a nearby church’s parking lot.
“I don’t know how it happened but it didn’t pin me,” Pulliam said. “I was able to keep going and get off the side of the road.”
Minutes later Pulliam’s mother arrived on the scene, as well as Michigan State Police.
Pulliam was ‘shaken’ but grateful to be OK, she said.
“Glad the kids weren’t in the car,” she said. “We have five kids. They would’ve all been in there. We got lucky.”
