KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The man accused of killing a homeowner during a break in and shooting 3 police officers will stand trial.
Monday afternoon Kalamazoo District Court Judge Haenicke bound William Jones to Circuit Court. The decision came after a full day of testimony.
First to take the stand was Haley Coe, the widow of Christopher Neal. Coe told the court Jones burst into the Comstock Township home on December 1 armed with two guns. She says he prevented them from leaving, ordered the couple to lock the doors, and threatened them at gunpoint.
Jones faces 19 counts in total, including murder for the death of Neal, and attempted murder for allegedly shooting 3 police officers.
