COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — FOX17 has obtained new 911 audio from the night a 22-year-old father was shot and killed inside his own home by an armed intruder.

Around 10 p.m. the night of December 3rd, 2019 officers responded to a home on Proctor Avenue in Comstock Township after dispatch received calls from Neal and suspect William Jones. Neal told them Jones, who he didn’t recognize, entered the home and was armed with a handgun.

Neal’s pregnant wife and 2-year-old daughter hid upstairs, but Neal was later shot and killed as officers closed in. Three officers were also shot as they tried to enter the home.

FOX17 decided to air the audio calls because Jones has pleaded not guilty to all 19 counts against him, including open murder, and the audio gives a clearer picture of what happened that night inside the home.
