Places to cool off opening in Kalamazoo as extreme heat is expected

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Emergency management with the City of Kalamazoo says they are expecting extreme heat next week, and as a result, they're rolling out cooling resources.

City leadership announced that they will be hosting a variety of ways for people to beat the heat—adding that the heat index may be higher than 100 degrees on some days.
