KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Kalamazoo man is hospitalized in critical condition after his truck struck a power line Wednesday afternoon.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says the 55-year-old was electrocuted by a high voltage line on Miller Road just after 7 a.m.

His coworker saw the crash and pulled him away from the power line.

Police say when they got there he wasn't breathing and he didn't have a pulse.

After they unsuccessfully tried CPR for several minutes, they brought his pulse back using an Automatic External Defibrillator.

He was taken to the Bronson Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 269-337-8120 or call silent observer at 269-343-2100
