KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Police say intense hoarding issues slowed efforts for crews as they worked to put out a house and car fire in Kalamazoo Wednesday night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. along Krom Avenue.

Kalamazoo Public Safety says one person had to jump from the window to escape the fire. They were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
