Boil water advisory issued in Kalamazoo Thursday has been lifted

On Saturday at 2:00 p.m., the city of Kalamazoo announced that the precautionary boil water advisory issued on Thursday has been lifted, in cooperation with the Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department.

Citizens in the affected area can now use City water for consumption as well as all other purposes.

Bacteriological sampling within the affected area verified that the water is safe to drink. The affected area is as follows:

Konkle Street – From Winton Avenue (southern boundary) north to the dead end of Konkle Street (northern boundary), both sides of street. Includes the southwest corner of Konkle Street and Winton Avenue. It does NOT include the southwest and northwest corners of Konkle Street and East Cork Street.

Wheeler Avenue – From Konkle Street (western boundary) to Nellbert Street (eastern boundary) both sides of street.

Nellbert Street – From East Cork Street (southern boundary) to Wheeler Avenue, both sides of street. Includes the northwest corner of Nellbert Street and Wheeler Ave. Does NOT include the northwest corner of Nellbert Street and East Cork Street.
