BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire Thursday evening that had them at the scene for more than three hours.
It happened about 7:35 p.m. at 35 Elm St., a news release said Friday.
Smoke was coming from multiple windows on the first and second floors, when the department arrived.
Crews were able to get to the second floor with ladders to extinguish hard-to-reach areas.
No one was injured.
The fire marshal was at the scene to investigate.
The cause of the fire wasn’t clear as of Friday morning.
