BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek police are asking for tips to find a man who might have information regarding a shooting early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened shortly after 6 a.m. on Rittenhouse Avenue. When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound and took him to the hospital, where he was treated and later released.

One of the three suspects in the shooting has been taken into custody, but police are still searching for the other two. Neither of the suspects’ names have been released.

On Tuesday, investigators asked for tips to locate 28-year-old Frederic Dimas, who is still believed to be in the Battle Creek area. Police didn’t identify him as a suspect, but said they want to question him.

Anyone with information on Dimas’ whereabouts or the shooting is asked to call dispatchers at 269-788-0911 or Silent Observer at 269-964-3888.
