WALKER, Mich. — The City of Walker is letting its residents know they’re thinking of them during the coronavirus pandemic.
Friday Mayor Gary Carey led a police car and firetruck through neighborhoods in the city’s northwest side.
Families watched the trucks flash and listened to them honk from their driveways.
Carey tells FOX17 they wanted to share a wave and smile with families while practicing social distancing. He adds the city is here for the community during this time.
A similar parade will happen next Friday between 2-4 p.m. in the south part of Walker.
