WYOMING, Mich. — Fire crews responded to an apartment fire in the area of Taft Avenue and 28th Street this evening, according to the City of Wyoming.

We’re told firefighters arrived on the scene to discover that two apartments had been consumed by flames. The Wyoming Fire Department was reportedly able to put out the fire, but some apartments were vacated as a result of power outages.

The City of Wyoming says the Red Cross and the Wyoming Department of Public Safety are helping displaced residents find shelter.

No injuries were reported.

We’re told the cause of the fire is not yet known; however, it is not believed to be suspicious.
