GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — You’re invited to apply for a brand-new set of teeth, worth upwards of $50,000 at Advanced Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Studio in Grand Rapids.

This is the third year for the Smile Again program, which helps people with poor oral health and can’t afford the treatment. Dr. Mark Jesin is one of several oral surgeons at the studio who have donated more than $100,000 in services over the past three years to help the most deserving people who live with embarrassment or pain to get the help they need.

"Patients who are missing many teeth can enjoy a brand new, fully functioning smile with the All-on-4 treatment concept," Dr. Jesin said. "This revolutionary procedure involves securing a permanent row of teeth to the upper or lower arch using dental implants. It's a really amazing, transformative procedure, because patients go from being in really bad shape where they can't function, chew, or smile, and then immediately overnight they're changed."

Hundreds of people have applied for the program since its inception. Former winners Lisa Weller and Jennifer Vanderschuur had their smiles transformed.

“I remember Lisa telling me that she got to the point where she took a toothbrush to a tooth and it would just crumble,” said Jesin. “It affects every aspect of your life when you have really bad teeth or teeth that are just deteriorating.”

Nearly 200 people have already applied on the company’s website. Applications are open through September 17, 2020. Dr. Jesin says he will then select the most deserving applicant for the total transformation.
