GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Sunday morning, the Kent County road commission announced that there will be a temporary road closure on Knapp Street beginning on Tuesday.
The closure will be in effect from Dean Lake Avenue to Leffingwell Avenue. Through traffic will be closed for this three day period, but will be maintained for the remainder of the project.
These closures will take place from East City Limits of Grand Rapids to the East Beltline (M-44)
This closure isdue to the resurfacing project includes removal and replacement of the existing asphalt surface. Sidewalk ramps will also be upgraded.
Work will be completed under lane closures, with one lane open in each direction to maintain through traffic after the three-day road closure.
