TYRONE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An electrical fire and the efforts needed to knock it down left a house on 20 Mile Road severely damaged.
Initial calls went out around 7 a.m. for Tyrone Township fire units, and units from Solon Township were automatically called to help. Another crew from Sparta Township was also called in.
The fire at 710 20 Mile NW was in the attic, and the home was left so damaged the house will need extensive repairs from the fire and water damage.
There were no injuries.
The Tyrone Township fire chief said he was grateful for the relationships the various township departments have and the flexibility of the volunteers’ employers, since the departments are staffed by volunteers who must miss work to handle such emergencies.
