KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Part of I-96 is back open to traffic after a fatal crash west of M-6 Tuesday afternoon.
Michigan State Police (MSP) says the crash happened before 3:40 p.m.
An initial investigation shows that a pickup truck, which was being driven by a 28-year-old female, rear-ended a commercial vehicle. The commercial vehicle was then pushed into the back of a semi.
The driver of the commercial vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The 28-year-old female was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
