GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It's problem solved for at least one customer of a snowplow company that's accused of failing to clear driveways of paying customers. Raymond Lull has received a refund for the full amount he paid Dewey's Lawn Maintenance and Snowplowing for services he says he never received.

Nick Reminga, owner of the lawn care service, mailed Lull the money order after the Problem Solvers approached Reminga about the missing money last week. At the time, Lull explained that Reminga had failed to plow his driveway during the first snowfall in November. So Lull requested a refund back then. He says the check he received bounced.

Lull recalled, "All I got was the answering machine, and so I told him I want either a cashier's check or cash. I've heard nothing from him."

In response to that Reminga said, "I have no idea what he's talking about. I have not heard from him. I have no idea what he's talking about."

Lull was just one of numerous customers with similar complaints about the company not showing up during various points in the season. Most of the grievances came from the third weekend in January when Reminga changed his voice message to inform customers about equipment failures.

Reminga sent out letters to customers apologizing for the equipment failures and promising partial refunds.
Fast forward and the Problem Solvers have heard from a handful of customers who say he did make good on those promises. That includes Lull and his sister.

"She got her money back here, and there's one more lady at our church," he said.

FOX 17 reached out to Reminga for comment. He sent an email stating, in part:

"All the trucks are repaired, and operational. All our checklists have been performed. We do this to make sure that all the truck and plow systems are functional and ready. Our team is on standby ready and eager to be out doing what they do best.

We have issued all refunds to our customers that have requested it. (Over 14k in total) I felt so badly about the situation that I personally delivered some of the refund checks to some customers myself. Our Team has issued the remaining refunds as quickly as possible. By now everyone that had requested a check should have it."

If you are asking for a refund, Reminga says he can be emailed at deweyslawnandsnow@gmail.com or texted at 616-930-5531.

We also want to note there is another Dewey’s Snowplow run by 17-year-old Parker Dewey in the Walker area that is not related to Reminga.
