GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Children's Healing Center in Kent County is getting help with renovations, thanks to a $25,000 donation.
Members of the Commercial Alliance of Realtors got a tour of the Grand Rapids facility to see exactly where their donations will be going.
The healing center opened as a non-profit in 2015, offering a safe place to play for kids with weakened immune systems and their families.
We're told the money will support renovations to the welcome area, as well as the parents lounge to make room for growth.
"When the kids walk through our doors, or I should say when they run through our doors they can`t contain they excitement," said Melissa Block, Associate Director of Children`s Healing Center. "They know that they are in a place that`s the `Yes zone', they`re not going to be told no here," she said.
This is the 15th year in a row the alliance has donated to select organizations.
