ALPINE TWP., Mich. — A crash involving one vehicle in Alpine Township killed the car's only occupant earlier this evening.
The crash happened around 3:45 p.m., closing Fruit Ridge northbound at 8 mile and southbound at 9 mile.
The car's driver, a 35-year-old Sparta woman, hit a tree and died at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by the Kent County Sheriff's Office, as speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
