GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A night of violence in Grand Rapids sent 11 people to local hospitals after being wounded by gunfire in the last 24 hours.

The most recent shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the East Paris Hookah Lounge, located at 3950 Stahl Dr. SE along 28th Street in Grand Rapids.

Police say someone called 911 saying at least 10 shots were fired from both the inside and outside the business. Our crew arrived around 8 a.m. to find glass broken at the business and spoke to an employee who says luckily none of their workers were injured.

A total of seven people were shot and showed up to a nearby hospital but police say most of the victims are uncooperative, police say.

One man, a 29-year-old, who police say was shot in the back and or side area is in serious but stable condition but his injuries are considered life-threatening.

No word on a suspect.

Just hours before this, police say two victims arrived at a local hospital around 10 p.m. Saturday after being shot in the area of Kalamazoo Ave. SE and Adams St. SE not long after a vigil for a murder victim ended following a deadly shooting at this location Friday, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

They believe the next victim was shot on Lincoln Ave. NW near the freeway, although when they arrived at the hospital they were uncooperative.

Around 11 p.m. Saturday, police also say a 25-year-old man showed up to the hospital and told police he was shot at Michigan St. NW and Monroe Ave. NW but is not cooperating with police.

No word on a suspect in any of these cases. If you know anything, call police.
