GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A suspect has been named in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred in Heritage Hill on Prospect Avenue yesterday morning.

Calvin Stewart, 25, is facing open murder charges, as well as firearms charges and a habitual offender charge, according to Sgt. Dan Adams with the Grand Rapids Police Department.
The victim was identified yesterday as Unique Camreil Evans, 28.
Adams says Stewart could spend life behind bars if convicted. Stewart is expected to have an arraignment hearing at 61st District Court “in the coming days.”
