GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two Lansing-area police officers were sentenced to 15 days in jail for their roles in a bar fight in Grand Rapids.

Bath Township officers Bryan Miller and Payton Warner were arrested in October after an incident at The Web Bar on Richmond Street.

The bar’s owner said the off-duty officers became belligerent after being asked to leave for being too intoxicated, leading to a bartender being left with a black eye and a patron getting kicked in the head.

Miller was charged with creating a disturbance in a public place, and Warner had pleaded guilty to assault and battery.

On Monday, Miller and Warner were sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for one day served.
