GRAND RAPIDS — Adrian Wiley and Lydia Thomas are the owners of the new shop, Queens Hair and Beauty Supply.
It's located at 2035 28th St SE Suite K in Grand Rapids.
They tell us they are opening the shop because as African American women, not many local stores could help with their hair.
Their shop will also house a non-profit called Caring for Communities, which will provide small scholarships for high school students; as well as hats, coats, and gloves for elementary students and the homeless.
They will also invite local businesses to come in on Saturdays and set up a table inside of the store.
The store opens to the public on Saturday.
