GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Former 2020 Presidential Hopeful, Senator Amy Klobuchar was in Grand Rapids for a "Get Out the Vote" event.
Creston Brewery hosted 250 people for the event
"If you want power Michigan we don't just need to win an eek by victory at four in the morning for vice president Biden," She told them. "No, we need to win big and this is a big state with a big heart that understands what I'm talking about."
While she touched on key issues like infrastructure and healthcare, the focus was on making connections with West Michigan voters, encouraging them to vote. The senator spoke took the opportunity to describe what she believed were Biden's strengths against the Republican incumbent saying voters needed to build what she called a "blue wall of Democratic votes" around the Midwest.
Klobuchar also touched on the suspension of her campaign, stuttering a possible slip - saying "I could not think of a better way to end my candidacy,... then to join the ti- then to join, Joe Biden..."
Senator Klobuchar covered it telling FOX 17 "I was going to say than to join a terrific, terrific, terrific campaign of Joe Biden"
While she is not officially running by Biden's side, Klobuchar said she will continue at his side on the campaign trail.
