ADA, Mich. — Forest Hills Eastern Middle School student Maddie Lukkart participated in the national Dell Technologies webinar panel.

The national webinar took place mid-April, and the 7th grader is one of three students chosen from across the country to take part.

The purpose of the webinar was to give educators the opportunity to hear from various kids about what they think of online learning.

Lukkart says the panel audience was administrators, principals, and staff members of various schools.

The panel of students was asked questions on subjects such as their learning experiences, mental health, and trying to find the silver lining is tough situations like quarantine.

"I think our district is doing well," Lukkart shared. "They have a plan down, like they know what they're doing. They know that on these days you're doing these subjects, and these days you're doing these subjects. I think that's really good, but I think what I've learned from doing it is that giving it all at once (assignments) is a lot more overwhelming than when we were at school and getting it one every hour. I think maybe if they were spreading it out throughout the day, and getting in new information throughout the day, that would be a little less stressful for kids."

Lukkart also shared that she thinks being a part of the panel was amazing, and she loved hearing what the other students had to share about how this temporary quarantine, will have a long term affect on learning.
