GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Kent County Child Advocacy Center's annual fundraiser, 'Believe the Child' luncheon is heading online.
The event will start Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. There, you can make donations, watch speakers and interact with the center.
Executive director, Melissa Werkman, encourages everyone to join, and says you can come and go as you please.
The event normally brings in about 40% of their donations for the year and will go toward improving the many important services they offer.
"A large part of what we also offer families to support them in their time of need right now especially with so many people facing economic difficulties where you pair that with suspected child sexual abuse that can really devastate a family we walk alongside them," Werkman said. "Holistically we try to provide as many services so when that child goes home they have as much support and ability to heal as possible."
