MARCELLUS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Cass County Sheriff's deputies responded to a fatal crash involving two people versus a tree.
This happened at 9:05 p.m. near the intersection of M-40 and Dutch Settlement Road in Marcellus Township.
Authorities say 69-year-old Stanley Bridges and 70-year-old Dana Horner, both from Marcellus, were headed north on M-40 when they went off the road and hit a tree. They both succumbed to their injuries and died on scene.
Deputies say alcohol and/or drugs appear to be a factor. Seat belts do not appear to have been worn.
