DETROIT, Mich. — Do you love a good treasure hunt? Could you use $1 million?

Johnny Perri decided to wipe the shelves clean at his Detroit shop J and M Jewelers, used the profits to buy actual treasure and buried it in various spots across Michigan, according to an articleby FOX 2 Detroit.

Perri said these spots could be anywhere from metro Detroit to the Upper Peninsula.

The treasures include traditional valuables like diamonds, gold, rare coins and more. The grand total of all these treasures equals $1 million.

So why do this instead of taking the money to retire?

Perri said he was going nuts at home with nothing to do. Since his store was about to close due to the pandemic anyway, he decided to take a different approach.

He's now selling tickets for the Treasure Quest online. Anyone who buys a ticket will get a set of clues for the treasure. Then once they get the information, they can hunt for the treasure, have an adventure and maybe even make some money.

The first hint launches August 1. Visit johnnystreasurequest.com to see for yourself what treasures await you.
