GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — The Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office is charging the owner of Powerhouse Gym in Grand Haven with violating an executive order from Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Gyms, along with other indoor venues like movie theaters and bowling alleys are not permitted to open in areas of the state currently in phase 4 of the MI Safe Start Plan. Powerhouse Gym's owner is accused of opening the facility.
If convicted, the owner could be ordered to pay a $500 fine, and spend 90 days in jail.
