WAYLAND, Mich. — The Gun Lake Casino is continuing its shutdown until further notice.
The casino at first considered their closure in response to coronavirus to be temporary. Now casino officials say the casino will remain closed until further notice, which will be given on its web site. All promotions, play offers, and dining offers are also put off until the casino reopens.
The Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Authority is also adjusting its staffing. ““We will be placing certain team member groups on a short-term furlough to navigate through the financial impact caused by the pandemic,” said Sal Semola, president and chief operating officer of the casino, in a release. "Additionally, we will be temporarily reducing the base salary of key members of management and the entire executive team.”
