ZEELAND, MICH. — Right now it’s likely you have piles of cans and bottles building up in your home, and those could come in handy to help some animals right here in West Michigan.

The Critter Barn in Zeeland that many of us know and love is collecting cans for critters.

The Critter Barn is currently closed until the stay-at-home order is lifted, but they're known for teaching the community about farming and agriculture through their classes camps and animal adventures.

When you go there you can see a variety of animals from rabbits and chickens to goats and donkeys and the list goes on.

However, with all of these critters and no programming at the time comes the need for a lot of food. So they’d love for you to drop off your cans and bottles at their trailer.

You can bring them to the farm at 9275 Adams Street, Zeeland, MI 49464, just follow the arrows up our driveway and drop the cans/bottles off into their trailer. You can also donate on their website.

Director of Critter Barn, Mary Rottschafer, says until we can go out and visit our furry friends again she’d love for everyone to stay in touch with them on their Facebook page, they go live everyday at 11am.
