SANDUSKY, Ohio — Cedar Point, one of the Midwest's most popular amusement parks, plans to open in phases beginning July 9.
Beginning July 9, anyone allowed in the park must make a reservation using the park’s app or web site. The park says this is the way they will control the number of people in the park. But guests at the park’s resorts won’t have to make reservations.
Also on July 9, the first phase of opening begins, with admission available only to 2020 season pass holders and Gold and Platinum pass holders.
On July 11, admission will be added for guests at the Cedar Point resorts.
Prior to the opening of the park, guests will be allowed to stay at Hotel Breakers and Lighthouse Point RV sites from June 12 to June 27.
The date at which anyone can enter the park was not announced.
