BATTLE CREEK, Mich — Holly Novack may live in Alaska, but her costumed antics are getting attention in her home state.
The Battle Creek native is an anesthesiologist in Anchorage, AK, quarantined like the rest of the world, trying to stave off boredom. So what's a girl to do but participate in some online silliness?
"I might as well do something kind of fun and interesting," Said Novack of her new hobby. "Encourage some humor in a time that's kinda unnerving and scary for a lot of people."
Novack started dressing up in crazy costumes fueled by the hasthag #QuarantineCharacterChallenge and was quickly noticed.
"The reactions I got from people that was something [that] made them smile, made their day." Novack told FOX 17 being a source of happiness for others really made an impact on her, too.
"Anything you can do just to get through the Day. We're all in this together." Novack says. "Do what you can. I'm happy to be a part of that. I'm happy to make people smile."
Novack says the inspiration for her costumes are very spur-of-the-moment, but Halloween is her favorite holiday, so she is not lacking for costume materials.
