30,023 coronavirus cases confirmed in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. — The number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Michigan has increased to 30,023.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reported the latest numbers of cases in the coronavirus outbreak this afternoon.

The number of cases has increased 760 from yesterday, when there were 29,263 statewide cases. Yesterday, the state reported 1,204 new cases.

The state says there have been 2,227 coronavirus deaths in Michigan.

The number of deaths has increased 134 from yesterday, when there were 2,093 statewide deaths. Yesterday, the state reported 172 new deaths.

Statewide, 433 people have recovered from the virus as of April 10.

In the U.S., there are 683,786 cases, and there have been 34,575 deaths — while 57,123 people have recovered, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
