Wrapping your mind around grief is one of the hardest things to go through. One way we find comfort is believing our loved ones come back to visit in the form of cardinals and butterflies.
Author Jamie Deklaita wrote a book with the goal to provide comfort to those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one called "What's Next?" She stopped by the Morning Mix via Zoom to discuss how she's using her experience with grief to help others going through the hardest time in their lives.
Deklaita wrote "What's Next" at a time where her daughter was old enough to understand death and feel grief, while she was feeling it as well. This was a first for Deklaita as a parent, so she created the book with the thought it could help both children and parents explain the process of grief and comfort them.
The book isn’t about death but rather a comfort during the time of loss for those who are here missing their loved ones, including pets. It reminds you life can still be wonderful and provides hope.
