World of Winter

There are so many things happening with the World of Winter Festival in Grand Rapids this weekend with ice games, music, dancers, interactive exhibits, and more.

Saturday night, Circle Theatre performers will host pop up concerts starting at 6 p.m. on the Blue Bridge. Or check out a dance in the annex happening alongside the Hybycozos at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. Or hop on a giant illuminated see-saw at Impulse on Monroe.

Frugthaven Farm

A one-mile walk through an orchard illuminated by over 500 luminaries is waiting for you at Frugthaven Farm in Greenville.

The cost for the Winter Wonderland luminary walk, presented by the Greenville Area Community Center, is only $2 a person. Kids 3 and under are free.

There will be Madcap Coffee hot chocolate and tea, plus fresh donuts and bagels for sale as well. There is a warming hut and a bonfire for the whole family to gather around.

Drop-In Studio at the GRAM

Beginning this weekend, you can paint a landscape scene at the Drop-In Studios event at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Social distancing and face-covering requirements are in effect. All of the materials to create a masterpiece are provided.

Teach yourself and the kids the useful life skill of Simple Sewing at Bee Joyful in Kalamazoo.

Learn step-by-step how to thread the needle, sew on a button, fix a tear, mend a hole, and more.

A small sewing kit will be provided, all you need to bring is a small item that needs mending.
