The next time you make a run out for some fresh strawberries, make a day of it with the whole family by heading out to Anderson and Girls Orchards.
The Stanton farm is a great place to pick some fresh produce or to see exotic animals at their petting zoo.
Strawberries are in full swing at the farm as well. Head out to the farm on June 26-28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a special event, Strawberry Fest to pick all the strawberries your baskets can hold, plus special strawberry desserts will be available for purchase.
The orchard's store and petting zoo are open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the ice cream shop is open every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Anderson and Girls Orchards is located at 2985 North Sheridan Road in Stanton.
