During the pandemic, places like Pierce Cedar Creek have been a haven for those longing for some fresh air, and a cure form cabin fever. Those nine miles of hiking trails were a lifesaver for many, now they need your help as their Latesummer Night's Green Fundraiser, their biggest fundraiser, has gone digital.
The raffle efforts will focus on two of the most popular elements of A Latesummer Night’s Green: a raffle and Fund A Future.
The raffle will feature five prized based on the amenities of the institute: Private Hike and Picnic, Name a Baby Eastern Box Turtle, Camping and Survival Training in the Little Grand Canyon, Fishing Trip on Brewster Lake, and a Tour of Alice and Ken Jones’s Library.
Raffle tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10 and will be available until August 28 at 5 p.m. The raffle drawing will take place on August 31 at 3 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Zoom.
Fund A Future is a way to make a donation to the institute for research opportunities offered through the biological field station and the community programs provided for people of all ages. Instead of having an auction, they're hoping to raise $25,000 in donations.
