For the people in the Mitten who love golf and beer, The Michigan Brewers Guild has a perfect event in mind. The organization is planning to host not one, but three Great Beer State Golf Outings this year.
These outings are designed to be an additional event to raise operating funds for the non-profit trade organization, which represents nearly 300 member breweries. They also want to safely gather with other brewery members, allied businesses, and beer enthusiasts.
Michigan Brewery Build Executive Director Scott Graham, says these events are not intended to replace larger events, but they're hoping to host big beer festivals again soon.
The first will be Wednesday, June 9 at North Kent Golf Course in Rockford. Other outings will be held on Wednesday, August 11 at Forest Akers Golf Course in Lansing and Saturday, October 9 at Treetops Resort in Gaylord.
Registration for teams and sponsors for the first outing will open in March. Details for all events will be posted soon on MiBeer.com under the events tab.
