Another well-known event is going high-tech this summer, the Meijer State Games of Michigan, and they're encouraging everyone to participate virtually.

The Meijer State Games of Michigan is a multi-sport, Olympic-style event that welcomes all athletes regardless of age or ability. Since the coronavirus has put most of the game events on hold, they'll be hosting the Virtual Games during the month of June.

People can choose to participate in eight new events added specifically for the virtual games such as BMX, cycling, fishing, golf, rowing, running, skateboarder and tae kwon do.

All participants will receive a Meijer State Games of Michigan medal and t-shirt.
