Featured Pet: Mango
This handsome, long-haired boy is such a fun, goofy cat, and SO full of purrsonality! Mango is talkative, adventurous, loves to wander and play, play, play. He's actually so confident and curious, that he even likes to get out of his kennel and explore our lobby when we have a slow day at the shelter! Mango is a pretty independent cat, so we think he would make the perfect office or shop companion--as he loves his freedom and having room to roam! Kibble Konnection Support
We need your help! As COVID continues to take its toll and many families are struggling, pantries are in dire need of pet food, and we have nothing left on our shelves to offer them!
Please consider donating a bag of cat or dog food to our Kibble Konnection program! It can be any kind and any brand--and can even be open--as long as it's still in the original bag, and has been securely taped shut. To make a donation, please drop off items in the donation bin in our entryway during our open hours, and write KK or Kibble Konnection on the bag.

Paws, Claws & Corks 2021
Paws, Claws & Corks is now only two months away--save the date for March 15th, 2021!
As we continue to prioritize safety surrounding the COVID-19 virus, we are making the necessary changes to a virtual event format while still having our robust silent and live auctions, featuring favorite local restaurants, and celebrating the life-saving work of HSWM over the past year! Attendees, both local and national, will join together for a hybrid-style event to raise funds to support animals in need in West Michigan.

Rescue Road, Support the Shelters Mission
HSWM is proud to announce that just last week we were able to participate in BISSELL Pet Foundation's Rescue Road, Support the Shelters mission!
We sent two of our hardworking staff on a road trip down to Helena, Arkansas, to the Humane Society of the Delta, to transport 21 dogs and puppies back to our shelter. Between the combined efforts of 16 shelters, this initiative helped to transport a total of 240 dogs and 28 cats to shelters across the country! This initiative will give all of these pets a chance at a new life and will alleviate the stress of the huge number of pets that HS of the Delta cares for daily. It’s a lot of work, but we are working alongside so many incredible organizations to not only transport animals, but also clean the shelter, organize supplies, assess the animals, and so much more.
