Friday's Friend: Joan Jett

Posted
and last updated

Say hello to Friday's Friend, Joan Jett! While she's shy at first, she'll eventually warm up to you and give you lots of cuddles! She could be renamed Thumper because her tail constantly wags when she's happy!

Adopt a Working Cat!

Are you in need of a working cat to manage pest control in your garage, greenhouse or barn? Let Humane Society of West Michigan help solve your rodent problem with cats who will work for kibble! Typically these cats aren't socialized to people, but they make great mousers!

The Working Cat program gives these special kitties a second chance at life that they may not otherwise have. Working cats are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested for Felv, microchipped, and ear-tipped. The first 2 working cats are fee-waived.

For more information or to adopt a working cat (or two!) please visit hswestmi.org/working-cat-program.html.

Small Animals Make Great Companions!

Have you ever considered adopting a small animal like a rabbit, guinea pig, rat, or mouse? Humane Society of West Michigan currently has many small animals in need of homes!

Small animals like rabbits guinea pigs, rats, and mice make excellent pets for all kinds of families. Small animals usually have big personalities and require less space than larger companion animals.

HSWM is happy to provide information on small animal care and supply recommendations to new adopters. To learn more and browse adoptable small animals, please visit hswestmi.org.
