After many childhood camping trips to northern Michigan which involved shopping at the adorable stores, Kimberly Haik was truly inspired to open her own Hudsonville shop called Eye Candy For The Body & Home, located at 6450 28th Ave. Suite F.
Kimberly has a background in interior and fashion design along with retail, too. When the virus hit, she did shut down for two months and has been so blessed by local support. Not to mention, her store features everything from handmade soaps, candles, painted signs and pottery all the way to the delicious Cherry Republic food items. You can shoponlineand pick up curbside, too. Haik rolled out the welcome mat for Michigan artists that were affected by the lack of craft shows to sell their goods.
The ceiling tiles are pretty unique, hand-painted by Jenison students, with the vision of what they want the future of their community to look like.
For one-dollar, you can buy an ornament with all of the proceeds going to Hand2Hand, a local non-profit that helps kids in need.
