When people think of Mackinac, fudge automatically comes to mind. The 2020 Fudge Festival still plans on taking place, but with slightly different restrictions.
Mackinac Island’s famed fudge makers are rising above all odds to offer this year’s Fudge Festival celebration, slated for Aug. 28-30.
To hold the 2020 Fudge Festival in the safest manner possible while still offering a fun experience for all, events will be as virtual as possible this year. Virtual attendees can enjoy virtual fudge making demonstrations by the island’s world-renowned fudge makers, trivia on MIT social channels, and virtual contests.
Live events will be offered as well, with live fudge making demonstrations, a fudge flavor reveal at May’s Candy Shop, and an exploration of the history of fudge by the island’s Chief Fudge Taster Phil Porter.
